Golf

There are two first rate golf courses within a ten minute drive, one 9, Brecon Golf Club and one 18 hole, Cradoc Golf Club. The 18 hole course also has a driving range and resident Pro. We are also situated within easy reach of many other courses not least Celtic Manor, the venue for the 2010 Ryder Cup.

Trekking

Trekking is another way to enjoy the beauty of the Brecon Beacons. All standards of rider can be catered for and we would be pleased to help you make arrangements.

Walking

There are many designated walks around the Brecon Beacons, maps available,  From an easy stroll along the canal or the river Usk to the spectacular walk to the top of Pen-y-Fan, the highest peak of the Beacons. The Mountain Centre, situated in Libanus has a vast array of walks to suit all.  Brecon also has a walking and climbing club

Fishing & Shooting

The area is known for it's fishing on the Wye and the Usk.. There is also fishing allowed on the reservoirs, permits available locally. Located near to the Plough is Woodland Park, a clay pigeon shooting/archery ground.

Cycling

Cycling is another way to explore the beauty of the Brecon Beacons and the surrounding area. There are many designated cycle routes, including the Taff Trail.  Cycle hire and organised tours are available.
